Coming to the End of Your
Self/Wine
1/2005
John 2:3 And
when the wine was all gone, the mother of Jesus said to Him, They
have no more wine! John 2:9 And when the manager tasted the water
just now turned into wine, not knowing where it came from--though
the servants who had drawn the water knew--he called the bridegroom
John 2:10 And said to him, Everyone else serves his best wine first,
and when people have drunk freely, then he serves that which is not
so good; but you have kept back the good wine until now!
Oh Come and Taste the Difference
Before in
teachings or studies here at It Is Written Ministry Inc. we always
pray.
Dear
Heavenly Father, I need you to speak directly to my Spirit. I need
my eyes open to anything that is with holding me from Truth. Let me
not walk in self, as I read let me come to the end of my self. I
need to truly operate in knowing that it is all about you and not
me. A faithful servant of your Word I will be, and a bless Son of
God I am. All I want you to see when you look at me is Jesus.
Amen
God is not a
God that waste time nor purpose. If you are doing something that has
no purpose of God behind it then you are wasting anointing and
wasting God’s love. We have entered the age that we are so easily to
waste God’s purpose for our life.
We think it is
okay to do what we want and we reason our every action as we do so
we have wasted purpose and the wine that God attend to be served to
others. Notice that everything that represent that which is
spiritual always go through some type of physical process. The flax,
the olive oil, and the wine. The wine is something that goes the
process of crushing under ones feet. These things are symbolic to
what God wants to happen to us. God wants us to get to the end of
our wine. The wine represents the blood. There is life in the blood.
As long as we keep our own wine, we are operating in our own life.
When we operate
in our own wine, we are operating in our own talents. There is a
situation growing in the church that many leaders are in high places
due to their natural talents, their own wine. God is allow them to
serve their own wine and sitting by. Many people are drinking
naively for they think that you are serving your or should I say
God’s best first. People have become bios to whom the Word is coming
from. I am guilty of this. Many people scream we want a king, just
as the Israelites did when the prophet Samuel was God’s voice for
them. This forces the one that God has called to back down and give
the people what they want. We do not seem to realize that God uses
whom He please not who we think is qualified for the job. It is not
in the gender the statue nor the age of the person, it is who and
what is using the person. If God desire to use someone, He will pick
him or her up in His anointing and not on our request. I have notice
that many people have the gift of gab and foolishly, we push them to
become preacher just because they can talk a lot. God needs
individual that is full of His wine and not information and talent.
Many Minster and laymen had experience something they call a burn
out. However, actual it is a drying out. They have come to the end
of their wine.
They are
now in panic they have been pushed to serve this wine and they have
served it until it is at its last drops. What to do they run around
in a frantic panic until they realize they need Jesus. It all boils
down to the fact man can only accept salvation through the Holy
Spirit, through the Holy Spirit we can only comprehend the truth,
prayer can only be effective through the Holy Spirit and that our
spiritual life can be advance only through the Holy Spirit.
The
whole purpose of us running out of wine is to reveal that we are not
as spiritual as we think we are. God wants to reveal the flesh side
of us. |
